The latest edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair, better known as FITUR, will be held from 21 to 25 January 2025 at IFEMA MADRID. It will be held over five days and will host professionals from the tourism sector and those interested in the sector’s latest tendencies, as well as the general public wishing to discover the destinations offered, who can visit the fair over the weekend. The 2026 edition will include Mexico as its partner country.
The 46th edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair features Mexico as the Partner Country for FITUR 2026, providing a strategic opportunity to position Mexico as a global power in tourism, highlight its cultural, natural and gastronomic wealth and showcase new routes and emerging destinations to industry professionals, investors, international media and tourists.
Mexico will have an innovative, immersive and interactive space where it will present its tourist regions, the Magical Towns and a diversified offer, ranging from well-known destinations, such as its 35 UNESCO World Heritage Sites or emblematic celebrations, such as the Day of the Dead and the Veracruz Carnival, to undiscovered treasures.
Furthermore, presentations, cultural activities and strategic meetings with key players in the global tourism industry will take place during the trade fair. Priority projects related to sustainability, infrastructures and community development will also be promoted, as well as meetings with the private sector and potential investors, consolidating FITUR as a high-impact platform for the sector’s growth.
The 2026 edition will incorporate Hall 12, connected to Hall 4, as a new space devoted to innovation and tourism knowledge. It will be the epicentre of digitalisation, innovation and trends in the sector, hosting conferences and debates alongside areas such as FITURTechY, Know-How & Export, Talent, Sports, FITUR Next and the Travel Technology area. This new space will extend the fair, improve visitor flows and bring together the latest and most inspiring content in a single space.
The FiturNext 2026 Challenge focuses on how tourism can contribute towards efficient and sustainable water management. Nominations for the 2026 Challenge will be structured on the basis of the following impact categories and contribution to the challenge: Destinations and other territories; Horeca and the transport sector; and Other agents in the food value chain.
