Located in the elegant Salamanca District, Casa Carola is a Madrid tavern that opened in 1998 and has become a classic in local gastronomy, popular for its Madrid stew.
Diners are welcomed with a glass of cava and a stew croquette, and then the stew is served in a bowl in the centre of the table so that each person serves him/herself. It is accompanied by virgin olive oil, natural tomato sauce with cumin and oregano, spring onions and Ybarra prawns (piparra) and a basket of freshly baked bread.
The stew can also be prepared to take-away, without the need for a reservation, and there is also a home delivery service.
