Located on the fifth and sixth floors of the WOW Concept department store, in the heart of Madrid’s Gran Vía, this retro-futuristic bar and restaurant managed by Grupo Papúa is spread over more than 1000 m2 and can accommodate up to 220 people, serving fine cuisine and fabulous views of Madrid.
Gran Vía 18 recreates an apartment with retro-futuristic and minimalist furniture, designed by the architecture firm External Reference. Setting out to recreate the home of the owner of Hotel Roma, which once occupied this building, the fifth floor creates the look and feel of a living-dining room filled with curved sofas, designer chairs, bookshelves packed with books, an old recording studio filled with vinyl records and sound equipment from years gone by. The top floor, meanwhile, is home to an impressive double rooftop terrace.
Leading the culinary charge in the kitchen is chef Jairo Jiménez, who unleashes his full creativity with great respect for the ingredients and technique in all his preparations. The menu pays tribute to traditional Spanish cuisine with worldly flavours, featuring a number of charcoal flame grilled dishes. As for desserts, head pastry chef Carlos López (with a distinguished career in several Michelin-starred restaurants) has devised the most sumptuous sweet treats.
On the sixth-floor roof terraces, you can enjoy a laid-back dining experience, choosing from an array of tapas and street food, as well as signature cocktails created by Daniel Regajo.
