Since Bernardino Moreno opened his first bakery in Bravo Murillo, back in 1931, the business has expanded and now has several other premises around Madrid. Since then, they have received many awards, including the Madrid Excelente distinction. Their wonderful bakery/shop on Calle Serrano has been fully refurbished to create a more modern, international and dynamic feel.
Following the renovations, it is now divided into three different spaces to suit the tastes and needs of each type of client: a self-service area designed for those looking to take advantage of the quick and easy new take away format; a ground floor with views of the bakery kitchens, perfect for when you’re working or have a meeting; and wonderful upper floor with low tables and traditional table service. All while maintaining the quality, craftsmanship and essence that defines the brand.
The refurbished Mallorca Serrano bakery has an avant-garde feel with white and reddish marble floors. The main floor has a large central counter serving coffee with display cases for the handmade goods they bake fresh every day on site.
The ground floor has a cosy lounge area with wooden floors and wall tiles, with individual and shared tables. In addition, this space has views of the oven and the bakery kitchens where they make sandwiches and savoury pastries.
For those who prefer to enjoy the traditional Mallorca service, a dining area has been created on the top floor, divided into one area with low tables, a waiting area with a long bench – the bakery has a CoverOnTheGo take-away service, a virtual reservation management service that alerts the customer when there is a table available to avoid long waits – and a display case for the goods made fresh every day.
Mallorca Serrano also offers a take-away service, having designed new packaging that adapts to the different sweet and savoury combinations as well as the other goods they make here.
In Madrid, Mallorca has branches at No. 12 Genoa; No. 48 Alberto Alcocer; No. 59 Velázquez; No. 39 Aviador Zorita; No. 7 Bravo Murillo, and No. 22 Avenida de los Andes.
