The Atlético de Madrid stadium, one of the most modern in the world, has 70,460 seats and is located in one of the most important areas in the outskirts of Madrid, to the northeast of the city, next to the M-40 and near the airport, between the neighbourhoods of Canillejas and Las Rosas. Inaugurated in September 2017, the stadium is located in the north-east of the city, near Adolfo-Suárez Madrid Barajas Airport. In 2019 it hosted the Champions League Final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Subsequently, the UEFA included the stadium in its ‘Elite Stadiums’ list, the maximum distinction from European football’s governing body. In 2027, it will once again host the final of Europe’s premier club competition.
The new stadium has also become a venue for large-scale concerts that have so far included Bruno Mars, Iron Maiden and Ed Sheeran.
ATLETI TOUR & MUSEM
Visitors to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium will be able to visit this new meeting place, where they can delve into the history of the club and its values through diverse leisure and entertainment activities, with fun interactive and immersive experiences.
On the Stadium Tour, visitors will enjoy a unique experience, getting to feel like a first team footballer, visiting the places where the players go on match days. The tour includes the changing room, the tunnel through which the players go out to access the pitch and the entrance to the pitch, where visitors can sit on the players' benches.
Exclusive areas of the stadium can also be accessed, such as the presidential box or the press room where the players address the media.
The tour also includes a virtual reality stand, where visitors can enjoy images and exciting moments with a unique vision and perspective thanks to its 360° viewing technology.
The Interactive Museum enables visitors to learn about the world and culture of the red and white team, from the setting up of the club in 1903 to the present day. Spanning 1,400 m2, Atlético's fans will relive the team's victories throughout its history, told in the first person by current and historic players, as well as through touch and interactive screens, binoculars, large projectors, interactive phone boxes, virtual reality and interactive games that can be found throughout the space.
Tickets can be purchased on-line or at the ticket office in the Riyadh Air Metropolitano commercial street, located next to the official store. On-line purchases will have an exclusive reduced price.
The Madrid club has several exclusive experiences in order to experience the passion for football and for Atlético de Madrid in a unique way, whether coming to the stadium to visit it or to watch a match, such as the possibility of taking an honorary kick-off, taking photos on the pitch, benches and goal or welcoming the players from the mixed area when they are getting off the coach.
