Moratalaz is a good example of life in the Madrid neighbourhood and its Z park, founded in 1969, is the epicentre of its lively social life, extending over almost 50,000 square metres, its sculptures that replicate the Guisando Bulls (the set of sculptures from the Iron Age located in El Tiemblo, Ávila, on which all of the children of the neighbourhood have mounted at some time), its small lake and canal.
In 2023, the park underwent some major renovation work, which involved putting in new lighting, creating two new exercise areas and planting more trees and shrubs. The project also entailed repositioning benches, bins and chess tables.
