32nd Lied Concert Series - Marianne Crébassa

The French lyric mezzo soprano, Marianne Crébassa, will be returning to the Lied Concert Series organised by the National Centre for Musical Diffusion (CNDM) with a performance on 6 April at the Teatro de la Zarzuela. In this recital, the artist will be accompanied on stage by the French pianist, Alphonse Cemin, who will be  performing in the Lied Concert Series for the first time.

Marianne Crebassa (Béziers, 1986) is a leading French mezzo soprano who is internationally renowned for her warm timbre, versatility and stage presence. She is one of today’s most sought-after voices of her generation.

She started out in the music world in her childhood, learning to play the piano, followed by singing at the age of 14. After studying at the Montpellier Conservatory, she has triumphed in theatres like the Paris Opera, La Scala and the Salzburg Festival.

She has been successful on international stages, such as the opera houses in Paris and Vienna, La Scala, Salzburg and the Metropolitan, performing pieces by great composers, such as Mozart, Rossini and Händel, among others.
