The Club de Campo Villa de Madrid will offer a fortnight of the world’s best up and coming professional tennis from 6 to 20 April. The seventh edition of the ATP Challenger Community of Madrid (Men’s) will be held from 6 to 13 April, followed by the tenth edition of the ITF W100 Villa de Madrid (Women’s) from 13 to 20 April.
These two major events, backed by the Madrid Tennis Federation, will be played on the clay courts at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. The ATP Challenger is the only tournament that will be held in a major capital in the Old Continent, with the exception of the tournament in Bratislava. A total of thirteen tournaments are scheduled in the Spanish calendar, spread over ten provinces in eight regions.
On the other hand, the tenth edition of the ITF W100 Villa de Madrid forms part of the season’s five most important women’s events in Spain (100 points for the champion and prizes of up to €100,000), after the four competitions in the WTA category. Of the 40 Women’s ITF events held in Spain, spread around 25 provinces (five of which are held in Barcelona and another five in Madrid), the Club de Campo tournament is the seventh in chronological order and one of the Top six in its category.
