After performing in the last edition of the Mad Cool Festival, the Australian rock band, behind hits like Are You Gonna Be My Girl or Cold Hard Bitch will be returning to Madrid on 23 July at La Riviera as part of its latest tour.
Jet is an Australian rock group that got together in Melbourne in 2001, in the midst of the garage rock revival. Currently made up of Nic Cester (vocals and guitar), Chris Cester (drums), Cameron Muncey (guitar) and Mark Wilson (bass), its rise to fame came with its debut album Get Born (2003), which included songs like Are You Gonna Be My Girl, Look What You've Done, Cold Hard Bitch and Move On. This album had a major commercial and media impact, particularly in the United States and the United Kingdom, appearing in popular TV series at that time, such as The O.C. and One Tree Hill, consolidating Jet as one of the most visible contemporary Australian rock bands.
Throughout its career, the band has maintained an identity based on the power of live performances and the simplicity of rock and roll. After several albums, such as Shine On (2006) and Shaka Rock (2009) and world tours, the group split up in 2012, although years later they got back together for new concerts and releases.
Now, Jet is still remembered as a key band of its generation, capable of bringing classic rock back to the charts without losing its freshness or attitude. It will be performing its greatest hits in this concert in Madrid.
