The 3rd Floor of the Telefónica Foundation Space will host an exhibition from 7 May to 11 October 2026 that explores the core principles of quantum mechanics and computing, revealing how they work and the challenges they present in the future, as well as inviting visitors to reflect on their technological, cultural and philosophical implications.
Since the middle of the 20th century, the practical application of discoveries in quantum mechanics has sparked a true technological revolution that has radically transformed the way we live. Thanks to them, advances such as semi-conductors, lasers and modern electronics have emerged, laying the foundations of today’s digital society.
The advent of quantum computers promises a leap in scale that is hard to fathom, capable of resolving problems that would be impossible for classical computing, giving rise to what will be the new revolution, quantum computing.
