The Gourmets Fair, the largest European event devoted to delicatessen products is holding its 39th edition from 13 to 16 April 2026. IFEMA MADRID (Halls 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7) will host an intense programme of activities, including competitions, tastings, presentations, show cooking and conferences.
Europe’s most exclusive Quality Food and Beverages Fair will be held in an exhibition space spanning more than 65,000 m2, which will bring together around 2,000 prestigious companies that have been carefully selected. Numerous professional buyers from the catering sector, gourmet distribution (supermarkets, delicatessens, etc.), HORECA and hotel chains, among others, will be attending.
This event showcases high-end trends from all over Spain and its 39th edition will feature all of the autonomous communities, with the Regional Government of Galicia as the Guest Autonomous Community. In the last edition, visitors were able to see 2,142 new products up close, most of which were presented in the Innovation and Organic Exhibition Areas, two spaces where exhibitors can showcase their product launches and new developments.
Another hallmark of the Gourmets Fair is the presence of more than 50,000 quality products and the organisation of around 1,000 activities related to the products. The fair has eight stages spread over the halls, featuring classics, such as 32nd Ham Cutters Competition / Dehesa de Extremadura, 31st Tierra de Sabor Spanish Sommeliers Competition, 18th Spanish Oyster Openers Competition - Écailleurs / Sorlut / Gourmets Group, 16th Gourmet Cheeses, Best Cheeses of Spain Competition 2026, with almost 900 cheeses in the last edition, 15th National Panizo Cocktails Competition, 12th Estrella Galicia Beer Pouring Championship , 9th National “In Search of the Best Cachopo Competition prepared with Asturian IGP Beef”, 7th Art of Meat Carving National Championship El Encinar de Humienta / Gourmets Group or the Xchef Challenge by Cervezas 1906.
There will also be the 5th Spanish Pizza Championship, the 4th Master Gourmet Pinchos #productoriojano, the Best Iberian Montado by Arturo Sánchez y Berkel 2026, the Atlantic Cuisine Day Department of the Sea and the Rural Environment - Galicia Regional Government, and the Gazpachuelos Championship by Sabor a Málaga, now in its second year.
New features for 2026 include the 1st IRUKI Grill Challenge by Embajadores, the Carbonara Challenge by Rummo and Canarian tacos with Tacomanía by IGP Aguacate de Canarias, as well as Canary Islands Day, where visitors can enjoy Canarian culture through local products and cuisine. To round off, Burger Academy by La Finca, an opportunity to enjoy the quality of La Finca beef and premium bread by Juanito Baker.
