{"id":1417,"date":"2016-03-31T07:52:00","date_gmt":"2016-03-31T07:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.esmadrid.com\/mcb\/en\/?p=1417"},"modified":"2016-04-13T07:59:53","modified_gmt":"2016-04-13T07:59:53","slug":"congresses-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esmadrid.com\/mcb\/en\/news\/congresses-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Congresses &#8211; March 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the month of March MCB\u2019s Congress Department provided logistical and institutional support to ten national and international congresses, including the <strong>8<sup>th<\/sup> Congress of the Spanish Society of Osteoporotic Fractures <\/strong>(SEFRAOS), the <strong>2016 edition of ROOTED CON<\/strong>, the <strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup> Biennial Meeting of the Specialised Biochemistry Group<\/strong>, the<strong> 12<sup>th<\/sup> Carbohydrates Conference<\/strong>, the <strong>Annual Conference of the International Federation of Clinical<\/strong> Chemistry (IFCC) and the <strong>Annual Meeting of the Online Computer Library Center<\/strong> (OCLC).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, during this period it held a welcome reception for the leading authorities and international presenters from the<strong> 6<sup>th<\/sup> International Conference of Physical Therapy in Psychiatry and Mental Health<\/strong> (ICPPMH). The reception took place in the Sal\u00f3n Real at La Casa de la Panader\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 2016 edition of the <strong>World Air Traffic Management Congress<\/strong> (WATM) was also held with great success, drawing over 7,000 international attendees to the city. This important congress confirmed its decision to continue to meet in Madrid until the year 2022. Among other considerations, its decision was motivated by the extensive logistical and institutional support received from Madrid Convention Bureau.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, for the second year in a row the <strong>True Coffee Experience<\/strong>, a competition devoted to showcasing and promoting specialty coffee among the general public, was a resounding success. The project was spearheaded by MCB and it is hoped that it will become a firm fixture in the city given the large degree of interest it has aroused.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MCB also collaborated on the gala dinner for the <strong>World Congress of Asthma<\/strong>, which brought over 800 national and international professionals to Madrid, committed to addressing issues related to respiratory diseases, problems associated with asthma and the prevention thereof.
