The project includes a Wavegarden, thanks to the construction of an artificial beach, a lake and other leisure facilities where it will be possible to surf as of summer 2016.<\/p>\n<p>This new water park is<strong> located next to Ifema-Feria de Madrid<\/strong>, just six kilometres from the airport.<\/p>\n<p>The artificial beach will be constructed in a <strong>100,000-square-metre complex<\/strong> that includes a lake, beach, gardens, parks and green areas. There will also be facilities dedicated to entertainment, sports and the values of surfing as well as event spaces, a gym, surf schools, a skatepark, a jogging area and much more.<\/p>\n<p>The star attraction will be the Wavegarden, where visitors can simulate surfing on the open sea with <strong>waves of up to 2.2 metres in height<\/strong>. Thanks to dynamic wave technology, up to four waves can be created at once with an average duration of 25 seconds, sometimes lasting as long as 40 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The space will be distributed as follows<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>100,000 m2 of surface area<\/p>\n<p>20,000 m2 beach<\/p>\n<p>48,000 m2 lake (able to hold up to 140 surfers and a max. depth of 2 metres)<\/p>\n<p>25,000 m2 of gardens, parks and green areas<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit: <a href=\"http:\/\/wet-madrid.com\/\">http:\/\/wet-madrid.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wet Madrid is a joint venture between Wet Watersports and Surf in the City to bring sun and sand to the capital.
